The maestro of stand up, Bill Hicks. I miss him and his caustic wit. I’m not sure how his comedy would be taken nowadays but I’m guessing if people find Jerry Sadowitz untenable it’s a hop skip and a jump to finding Bill Hicks offensive. Shame, he was lightning.
By the way, if anyone here is in advertising or marketing, kill yourself.
I’m going to post this on the 30th anniversary of when Bill played Birmingham Town Hall, back on Saturday the 21st of November, 1992. Dave, Shirley, Karen, and I went. It was an amazing night. Just a few years later and he was no longer with us. It was just five months after the PIL gig of Saturday the 27th of June, 1992, the day before I found my Dad after he had passed away.
